Re: Bmw 400x

The GT is 7 grand, for a chinese Loncin engined scoot. . Not for me.!! Well, yes, £7k for a 400 is a bit pricey! However, reviews have been quite positive. But I'd think that forking out a little more for the Tmax with more power and better engineering would be worth it. Also Sym's Tmax clo...

Re: Forza 300 review

That Portuguese guy (Cageron2wheels????) did some quite good reviews, not that I always agreed with his conclusions though. I guess that's the snag with these reviews, whilst they might be honest, they can be very personal and as we know what strikes one person as great feels awful to another. Hack ...

Re: Wheel removal

I've never normally noticed much difference from having different crossply tyres on F&R...though I'd be more reluctant to have a mis-match of radials - does that make sense? The time I did notice a difference was when I put a new ultra grippy Bridgestone Hoop on the rear of my old May 250 whilst ret...

Re: Yamaha Tricity

And even the dealer said it needed a full-fat 15bhp 125 engine like, say, a Forza 125... They do a 155cc version but dealers can't get one via Yamaha UK. A 300cc version would be more fun!!! I guess the 125 might be OK round town, but it'd have a wider range of uses if it had the full 15bhp (or mor...

Re: TMax recall

Personally I’d want a new engine . Who knows what crap has been thrown elsewhere , easier for them as well , though a bit of a hassle for you . Running in again etc . The new engine / gearboxes don’t have this issue so I’d push for a whole new engine / gearbox . If you are happy to wait fair enough...

Re: TMax recall

Think it’s outside the time limit for anew scoot . I guess they will make it as good as new , probably a new engine . Yamaha are pretty good at this stuff . Although it’s a hassle they take mechanical failures very seriously. Can't imagine it'd need a new engine - no problem in that dept, though I ...

Re: Wheel removal

So the Citygrips have a slightly chunkier profile to some other makes. This makes them good for general riding and gives good grip wet or dry. The compounds used to make it are the same as most other tyres, yet it performs differently to some other makes with a sleeker profile. It's fascinating how...

Re: Yamaha Tricity

No, I haven't ridden one, though I've seen the one at Jax! Whether its a poor man's MP3 or not is a matter of opinion - one thing Yamaha have sorted is that whilst the MP3 (and most other 3 wheelers) are humungously heavy, the Tricity is remarkably light. As you say based on the Nmax so not so much ...

Re: T max 6000 mile service

No-one's even hinted at anything other than it being covered under warranty. They'd have to give me a quote if they wanted to charge me, followed by treatment for my heart attack when I saw how much it would cost!
