Re: took a chance on this...

Hi Scorpakid, I've been commuting on a SYM Jet 4 125 for the past two years. I really like it, much more urban friendly than my X8 was. With the top box it carries all my stuff, does about 75mpg, max speed 55 but keeps up with urban traffic no problem. Best of all it puts a smile on my face, especia...

Good run out

Evening all, Since getting my SYM Jet4 125 back in september I've used it for work in all weathers & it's just great. It occurred to me the other day that the furthest I've ever been was 5 miles to pick it up when I bought it! So yesterday I loaded the bike & top box up with shopping & took it all o...

Re: New Sym??

My current SYM states quite clearly to change the oil every 1000km and check every 500km. Then again it is written in chinglish. Why on earth do they not get a british dealer to go through the manual before they print it... in mine they they clearly mark the high beam indicator as 'Time Meter', they...

Re: New Sym??

I've had a couple of Joyrides & now have a SYM Jet, they all use a crude strainer rather than a filter & require 1000km oil changes. Great if you stick to regular changes but hardly mainstream. I think it's all due to even the rather nice Joyride watercooled 4V engine being evolved from the ancient ...

Re: Possibly Returning Muppet

Hi Guys,

£700 and I have it!

Forks polished up ok, few minor tweaks & it runs like new all the way up to about 60, plenty fast enough with no screen!

HPI check revealed no gremlins, just need to get Tax & I'm back :D

Photo to follow!

Re: Possibly Returning Muppet

Thanks guys, yeah if the sale goes through I'll give them a quick clean up before riding. If the seals get damaged I have until next August to find replacements & get an MOT!

And yes it is a Jet 4 125, styling is a bit modern to appeal to the younger buyer like myself (50).

Possibly Returning Muppet

Evening all Not had a scoot now for a couple of years, not looking for a Maxi this time, just a little 125 for the 3 miles each way to work. Just been to look at a really nice SYM Jet, 2 years old, just 5000kms, fallen out of use, good condition because it's new rather than well looked after (it has...

Re: How did you find out about Maxi-Muppets?

Came here from the Chinese Scooter Club a long time ago.

Had a Baotian big bore 72cc, 19mm carb, lighter rollers,.......perhaps I should go back!
