Re: X-Max Oil Service Warning Reset

Sorry about not getting back to you guys about all your help, but been on night shift all week. So went down to Yamaha dealer this morning as I just couldn't get it to reset! And as you though Ralph I was indeed trying to reset the wrong trip. Mechanic had it sorted in minutes! Cheers again for all ...

Re: X-Max Oil Service Warning Reset

Thanks Ralph, it must be me as I have tried this so many times and with still no success, now thinking I will need to go to the dealer. I just can't believe that such a simple operation is so difficult to carry out. The miles have reset to zero, but I just can't get the warning to stop flashing! Thi...

Re: X-Max Oil Service Warning Reset

Thank you for all the helpful replies, but the statement within the hand book still confuses me, " After changing the engine oil, reset the oil change indicator and the oil change trip meter. To reset them both, select the oil change trip meter, and then push the “TRIP” switch for three seconds. Whi...

X-Max Oil Service Warning Reset

I've just done a 3000 mile oil change on my X-Max 400 (2018). But I am unable to reset the oil service warning from the dash. I have followed the instructions from the hand book. It resets the miles to 0 for the next oil change but the warning still flashes. Any X-Max owners had this issue? I have l...

Re: T-Max drive belt question

Yeah it's the belt to drive the rear wheel, my brother said hand book states change at 18000 mile. But just checked on line at Yamaha UK and it states check every 6000 miles until 24000 miles then check every 3000 miles. And replace if damaged! So thanks for your help, will have to tell him.

T-Max drive belt question

Hopefully some of the T-Max owners will be able to help me here. My brother owns a 2015 T-Max and I was talking to him the other day and he was telling me that his Max is due a drive belt change. (The one that drives the rear wheel) and he has seen prices in the region of £300. Is this the norm or a...

Re: 2018 Xmax 400 1500 ml update

Your certainly getting the miles on your scoot. Mine just turned 200 miles today after a week. Can't wait to get the service out of the way and start getting more speed!! But like yourself I think the handling is brilliant, didn't expect to be such a change from the 2016 X-Max 400.

Re: Gloves

I have RST Thermotech heated gloves and they are excellent have 3 heat settings with a rechargeable battery in each glove. The new scoot has heated grips fitted so now got two cold weather riding options!

Re: New X-Max 400

Well I've now got 135 miles on the clock and really enjoying it, handles a lot better than previous model. Just can't wait till it's run in so I can get a bit more speed and try the over taking abilities. I've washed it twice already, used baby shampoo and works a treat! :D

Re: 2018 Forza 300

The good news for the arthritically Challenged amongst us, feet forward is retained. Something both Yamaha and Kawasaki preclude me from, in their mid range maxis.
The X-Max is feet forward! :D
