Re: Visor Down Bmw C400

You could go for cheapness and buy from China, India, Taiwan or other emerging countries with low wages and commensurately low prices. Or you could buy quality, from Europe, America or Japan, with high wages and high quality cont...

Re: Took the plunge.

There's a logical progression here - Xmax 125, pass test, T-Max 530. Result - happiness!

Re: I'm suddenly turned on to scooters

Welcome to the real world! Bikes or scooters - they're both great. If you do a lot of main road work then do have a go on a T-Max, it'll really open your eyes to what a sporty scooter can do. If you want a comfy, powerful and good-looking tourer, check out the Silverwing. If, like me, you mainly do ...

Re: Review of the Burgman 400 (2018)

There's a road test of it in this month's Motorcycle Sport and Leisure. Even without it the mag's well worth a read. I've subscribed for years and it's now, with RealClassic, my only regular biking mag.

Re: BMW C400X v Beverley

I don't care where my scooter is made tbh as long as it's to spec and the specs are stringent. I read an interesting article a while ago about Triumphs factories in Thailand. They look to be turning out top quality stuff. Anyone in any country can make high quality stuff given the right materials a...

Re: BMW C400X v Beverley

I have no objection to any manufacturer making their machines anywhere in the world. I also have no problem with paying extra for better quality if I can afford it. However, if I pay a premium price for, say, a Japanese, English or German bike or car, then I DO object to owning something made in a c...

Frank is formerly the editor of Classic Bike Guide. Current (and original) editor of RealClassic - an absolutely excellent monthly read. Highly recommended. Frank's not just a writer, he's an author - and his magazine articles show this.
