I remember when you first had it. How time flies. It was a real beauty even though the shape isn't my cup of tea
It was indeed, and still a cracking bike when I sold it.

Times and circumstances change though. 8-)

Re: The end of the road

Getting into biking gear is an added bind especially at 82, but having a garage full of four bikes all licenced and ready to run give choices...., having recently recovered from cardiac intervention surgery (and able to drive in a couple more days following lay-off) it’s soothing to know I have cho...

Its not good is it, Sym have some cracking scoots, but having to order from Greece/waiting since feb, :? , you can get stuff for 70's classic jap bikes easier. :(
Which nicely sums up why I haven't got one. 8-)

Re: The end of the road

it's a lot less hassle than getting suited up in all the gear you need for all seasons riding on a maxi. That was the main reason why Mrs Capitano's last scooter went in favour of an e-bike. For local journeys and leisure rides they make perfect sense. It might be an option to consider for the OP. ...

Re: Contemplating 1st ever Scooter.

If you are serious about a Vespa ( and no reason why you shouldn't be) I'd advise signing up on the modern Vespa forum ( as well as staying on here, naturally.) There are a lot of folks who have done a lot of miles on auto Vespas. It's a mine of information, and could seriously help you get the righ...

Re: Honda Helix for sale

Ged, can you not see the irony of someone with the poor judgement and rank bad taste to own not one but two H1s criticizing any other motorcycle, never mind the Helix? Only to well ,Jaz, mate, only too well. During my years of employment one of the words I inhabited was that of writing instrument m...

Re: Honda Helix for sale

Bought for €1000 each and now worth at least €9,000 each and rising, that's why  Good for you, selling such an un-rideable shitheap for that sort of money is good work, because - as everyone knows - those ugly, rattling, smelly things aren't classics, they're just old . A lot of people mis...

Re: Honda Helix for sale

They aren't 'way over value' because these are the prices they are selling for. I've had several offers around the €9000 for each of my two 500's. Also, they aren't kept in Malta but in Germany garaged with several other classic bikes Exactly. Anything is worth what someone will pay for it. It's ba...

Cedric Lynch, the brains behind Agni motors, and the very first TTXGP (the forerunner to the TT Zero) winning bike. He's been riding/driving home built electric vehicles for years, and yes he never wears shoes. 8-) PS: Interesting article stemming from a letter written by Cedric to the Bike dealers'...

Re: The end of the road

Get a lighter one for just leisure use is my advice . Scarily, I find myself agreeing with Pikey! 8-) Recently robbed of the ability to ride my 800 I've been riding my Cub more and picked up the small Burgman for 2-up and carrying stuff duties. Thing is, I actually don't miss the weight of the bigg...
