Re: top box 2018 650 exc.

I have a 2018 650 Exec and, when I bought it I had a Givi rack and 55l box fitted by the dealer. Included in the fitting kit for the rack is a spacer that covers the gap between the rack and the tail of the bike. All neat and tidy and looks 'factory'.

Re: Gearbox on 650

Also has overdrive sixth gear....but it only works ( it does go into 6th on auto but that 6th is NOT overdrive ) you have to be in Manual mode. So if you are on the motorway in auto 6th you change to manual and you will notice the bike drops to 5th, you press the up gear button to go into O/D. And ...

Re: Sat Nav or Phone holder

Not sure I understand the question. Yes, it is model-specific. Two existing screws at the front of the dash hold it on and there are two arms that grip the top of the dash. These arms are adjustable but they fitted fine as they came out of the box. Ignore the big PDA holder jobby it comes with, I us...

Sat Nav or Phone holder

I have had my sat nav mounted on a Ram ball on my brake master cylinder for a while but I have never been very happy with it. It puts the sat nav a bit too close to me and, I am concerned about possible stresses and strains to the master cyclinder with all the shaking about on our beautifully smooth...

Re: Center Stand Sensor

Here's a post on the USA Burgman forum from a guy in UK, Kieran, with a sensible way to prevent the centre stand sensor causing problems. I hope he doesn't mind me sharing it on the UK site. " HI all, Just got my 2014 650 out on the road today after the snow cleared, And yes you have guest it, the c...

Re: Mobile phone holder

The cost seems steep for what it is but I guess it’s good kit so probably worth it, unfortunately I can’t see a case option for an iPhone X I’ve emailed to see if they do them but are there any other choices out there? There will be other options on bicycle sites, especially those who cater for off...

Re: Mobile phone holder

Fit a Ram-Ball mount to the rear brake master-cylinder then get a waterproof phone case plus Ram-Ball fittings from Twisty Ride. Run a lead from your power socket in the glove-box to the mount and Bob's your uncle.

Re: Burgman 650 - side wind deflectors

OK, I decided to go back to the dealer and see if they had any comments about the fitting. They are a Suzuki dealership but had never fitted side visors to a recent 650 Burgman. On looking at the items and the installation instructions they agreed there was a problem. After some discussions with Suz...
