Re: One Two Wheeler That Does Everything - Impossible! - X-ADV disappoints

I know I've only had the Burgman for a week but for me, this bike is perfect and does everything I want from it. 650 Burgman:- Plenty of storage space for shopping, camera and walking kit etc. Good weather protection so you don't get plastered with road dirt in a shower. Easy to ride which promotes ...

Just saw the BBC news weather forecast for the weekend. At present rain is forecast. Let's hope they have got it wrong.
It's never right this far out. Two days is about the extent that they can predict the weather. :-D

Re: Bought a Burgman 650!

No...its awful on back roads IMHO - really rough & cumbersome. I'm not finding that at all with my 2013. It's not quite motorbike ride quality but it's damn close enough for me to not care. I'm loving mine, like riding an armchair around! I have to push mine backwards to get it out of the garage/do...

Re: Norfolk bimble Sunday 12/08/2018

Is the run still open to anyone to tag along?

Just talking about the Sunday 11am run, not camping or any other arrangements.

I've got a higher Secdem screen boxed up in my shed that I used on my '08 650 Burgman until
I sold it and put the OE one back on again. I've no idea if it fits the facelifted later models.
How much higher was it than stock? If it fits facelift model, I'd be interested in buying it.

Make sure you change out the primary pulley Stopper Bolt, they all FAIL eventually and take the belt with them. Ask Burgman 650 people about it...
Thanks, I'll check that.

Re: Bought a Burgman 650!

Ok, so had the bike for about 5 hours, done 100 miles on it and I absolutely love it. It's exactly what I was looking for. Chuffed to bits. Things I love: Size, I love how big it feels (that's what she said) So smooth with effortless power Comfort Ride quality so much better than 125 Xmax I had Wind...

Re: Bought a Burgman 650!

@defscoot the reason crotch rocket monkies are obsessed with the speed & cornering etc is because wearing one piece leathers you can't eat cake & drink coffee as you can't zip them back on Not an issue for the relaxed scooterist about town (& country) haha :-D I certainly couldn't get into leathers!

Re: Bought a Burgman 650!

I find this need to be nodded and waved at by passing bikers both baffling and amusing, and I'll happily admit I stopped playing the game years ago. I've found it's about 50% of riders that will wave and nod at me and the other 50% don't and just ride past. So for all I know they're kindred spirits...
