New from Lincoln

Post by Merman55 »

Hi I live in Lincoln and ride a Piaggio MP3 400. I had stopped riding for 5 years and decided at 60 to get back on board. The mp3 suits my arthritic bones and gives me the freedom I want. Also living in Lincoln with the dreadful long term Roadworks it makes going into town a doddle. When I bought the scoot I rode it up from London and was happily cruising at speed, but noticed how loud my helmet is, so after trying on a bunch in Webbs of Lincoln, I have decided to upgrade to a shoei. Expensive but the only one I tried that ticked all the boxes. I was amazed how many lids were so close to the chin/mouth area. I guess you get what you pay for so it will be the shoei neotec.

Welcome Merman, I'm glad you're enjoying the ride.
Try these http://www.screwfix.com/p/25db-rubber-e ... airs/15514 as an alternative to an expensive helmet!

Tbh smeghead I was wearing plugs and it was still loud. But the lid needs replacing as I used it for 2 years before I stopped riding and it sat in the spare room collecting spiders after that. I spent loads on the scoot, so I should invest in a descent lid.

Fair enough, Shoei do make a fine helmet!
