Hello everyone!
Just a quick hello from sunny Bognor Regis.
I'm a new maxi-scooter owner, having just bought a 2008 Piaggio Xevo 400.
Looking forward to learning a lot!
Chris

How do you go about running in Lyn? I've always kept the revs down but not to the extent that the engine labours.kayz1 wrote:Welcome that man.

Re: Hello from West Sussex
I just ride it normally but as you say do not let it labour, find a big hill now and again and give 1/2 throttle as you do need to get it in the torq band.
360 miles now and starting to free off a bit, does not smell hot any more..I change my oil at 100miles as well. but that is just an old git doing things
as they used to be done..No real need any more with modern materials, only real need is to bed the rings in..still gives me the jitters looking at the rev counter on a single cylinder machine thou The clutch does not bite until 4000rpm and 4500@30mph. Good machine these Kymco's/Kawasaki's
Seems to run far better at 60mph. Once i have the 600 service done i will give it some beans for short intervals then at 1000miles i will just give some...

Re: Hello from West Sussex
I need to give it a few miles but the weather has been so bad and I need a windscreen. It's on its way from Germany, so early next week I hope.
Thanks for the advice Lyn.
