Mat W saying hi

Post by Mat W »

Hi guys,

Some of you will know me from my father (Steve Watkin) but for those that don't a little of my history.

Been riding since I was 4 and rode till I was 25, then life got in the way and stopped riding till 2010. The last 6 years dad and I toured pretty much everywhere in the UK and Ireland on Honda C90's.

A couple of years ago I quit my job and went of to Asia for a year to explore by bike (Honda C90 ofc) did about 15k km and toured Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Anyway I am now back in the UK and working as a UAV pilot.

I have inherited my late fathers menagerie of bikes including his Maxsym 400I, which is why I have joined here.

Mat
Welcome aboard.

Your dad is dearly missed, I didn't realise you'd not returned to Asia as I hadn't heard or seen anything of you since the funeral

Hopefully we'll catch up at rideouts & meets as I often did with your dad

PS can I now unfollow your tour company on face book

Hi
My trip is not over, promised dad I would finish it one day ( all the way back to the UK). Still spend as much time as I can over there as my lady is Thai. Maybe one day I will get the tours up and running, but thats on the back burner for now.

I rode that Sym on the Isle of Wight. The one where you didn't break your arm! It was a fine machine. 8-)

I've seen Steve's old Wave being used. Do you still have your white CG, too?
