Urgent help / advice required please.
Left my Burgman 650 (2012) for less than an hour. When I came back I had a bit of difficulty releasing the seat at first to put some stuff in. Then I found the key would not turn the ignition to the on position.
I can turn the key between lock, and parking light lock - it will not turn any further clockwise from these positions. It seems to be a little looser and wobbly in the barrel than normal.
The steering lock is not engaged despite the barrel being in the 2 locked positions. Sometime there is a slight clunk when jiggling the key hard between these 2 positions.
I've only had it a month and everything has been perfect until now - the keys worked fine to start and lock the steering. I don't know if I could have turned it to the lock position and removed the key without fully turning the steering left, or if it was an aborted theft attempt by filthy scumbags who broke the steering lock and ran away (there was no other evidence of attempted theft).
Really need some help and advice about what it might be and how to go about fixing it, as I'm away from home and stuck.
Parts diagrams or schematics would help so I can understand how the lock works, and any links or pictures of what needs to be removed so I can access it to inspect for physical damage would be great. I know my way around a toolbox but I'm new to bikes and particularly all the plastics involved on this one.
Are there any UK specialists in this sort of thing or is it only Suzuki dealerships who can work on them ?
Thanks,
Alan

Welcome Alan
6.5 ton is quite a large beast
Whereabouts are you at present as I think I still have a Suzuki dealer directory (they used to give them with the bikes) covering all of Europe.
Dealer won't charge to look & might point you in right direction.
Robinson's Foundary used to show schematics but don't recall it covering body panels (just looked doesn't cover Burg 650)
Does this help
