Yes I thought that too - seems rather unreasonable - wonder if the proposer has tried the comparison websites
And then went back to the company and did a deal?

I had the following phone conversation yesterday:

SAGA: Thank you for calling SAGA, your Household insurance renewal is due on..,
ME: (Interrupting) I'm just calling to say I'm not renewing.
SAGA: Oh we are sorry about that, can I ask why?
ME: I got cover from another company for £100 less.
SAGA: We have a price match.
ME: You should have got it right first time.
SAGA: We gave you the best price possible.
ME: In that case how come you just said you could have matched the price?

Thieving Barstewards. At least it keeps Sergei in work.

I have been on the comparison sites. I probably need to ring round, the company dealing with the claim said it maybe due to the fact the claim is “open” pending investigation. I am just not mentally ready to be on a bike. I have been out today and I am improving but I don’t feel as sharp as I did on it.

To be fair same thing happened when my car was hit in a car park unattended. It was no fault no claims and the other side did pay out (they weren’t happy about the cost of my courtesy car and challenged it) my premiums were hiked until it went off the record five years later.

2 weeks on Tuesday and they still haven’t confirmed if Aviva will take the liability or not despite my witness backing me up claiming language barrier with their client.

PoppetM perhaps a car would be more advisable for a substantial commute like yours

When I used to commute a similar distance I did try using smaller cc bikes (CB250, BMW C1 and another 200 cc scooter I can not remember!) but found them far too dangerous for the roads I was traveling for my liking mainly due to how gutless they were hauling my lardy arse about. The inability to safely join the outside lane of a motorway to overtake slow lorries meant I was stuck behind them which was horrid when it was dark and raining.
400cc ones might be better though when I tried those out when I had to get a Maxi scooter they were a bit too small. Heck I find the 650 Burg gutless!

Agree... The 300cc scoots are more than capable in that situation.

So yesterday the loanbike was picked up, and two hours later I bought a Forza. I didn’t last very long being bikeless!

Digging out my fur lined apron from my Vespa days (attaches round me not the bike before anyone worries about compatibility)

One question for Forza owners... where / how do you mount your Sat Navs?

Don't think Lyn has fitted his yet Mark :? Dave on X9OC has put his in the 'cubby hole' at the base of the handlebars ....

He picked up power by 'tapping' into the brake light switch.
