Not sure how many of you have read this story but do take the time and if you're in the UK please sign the government petition (UK residents only), it costs nothing and who knows it might be you or your loved one who needs the support one day....

This is the guy who was overtaking a line of cars on approach to a junction and was killed because he didn't see a car pulling out and was travelling at a speed from which he was unable to stop in time?
Had he lived he would possibly have been prosecuted himself.

You must be mistaken. She pulled out of a side road and punted him across the bypass into the shrubbery. Signed.
I wake up every morning with a smile upon my face,
My natural exuberance spills out all over the place!

No mistake:

"Mr Bartholomew was overtaking a number of vehicles and Miss Carpenter was emerging from the Uddens Drive junction on the A31 at 7.15am when the collision took place."

He 'may' of been overtaking or filtering, but it understood he was not exceeding any speed limits etc...
Miss Carpenter was on the Phone, Lied to the Police and then Changed her story...

The Issue is that it needs to go to court - she is guilty of driving without due care and attention, (By virtue of being on the phone), and causing death... for which i belive a custodial sentance is due... Never mind the perverting the course of justice etc...

The Problem is not with the police... but with the CPS

If Miss Carpenter was not on the phone... it may or may not of happened... but then she wouldn't of been on the phone, and maybe not driving without due care and attention...

I wonder if a member of Joe public would have got off scott free. I hope she never forgets the hurt and pain inflicted on Davids family needless to say the tragic loss of life. Whilst riding you see so many drivers on their mobiles or even worse texting I wish I had a head cam to record the offenders and send it to the Police but then I would be accused of being a vigilante.
