I rode Harleys for 16 years, 1990 to 2006, with a brief return in 2009.

I think I got 'em out of my system, though the Livewire project looks very interesting indeed.

I once rode my mates Rod...is it street Rod,,,some thing like that, was not my thing but nothing wrong with it..
It went and stopped,,,sort of..but far too much chrome for me.

Sorry for the late reply Scootypuff Snr. No, as far as I know he's not. I quite like the friends Harley and we often ride together. I go on my 1100 Shadow and I can't honestly say that the Harley performs any better or worse than the Shadow but after all the Shadow's a 1987 Harley clone so the word "agricultural" sums it up nicely! He doesn't hang about on the Sportster, but you can see he does battle with ground clearance on some corners whereas for an old cruiser the Shadow has all the ground clearance you want.
I have to say that after riding the VFR (itself 24 years old) the tractor-like handling of the Shadow becomes a lot more apparent..
