Re: 04/05/15 - Hastings May Day - Bike1066
Just worked out my mpg... did 184 miles on 1 tank of fuel, (normally done at 150 miles) and returned 63.7 miles. This is my best yet and a bit surprising as it was a Hastings ride and I was riding her like I stole her. I have about 4 hours of footage to sift through, couldn't be arsed to sift through footage.
The only negatives of this year that I have not seen before (maybe I just was not present for them) people were stunting along the promenade, doing burnouts and donuts. The police presence observed but did not interfere, there weren't that many around so not sure if they could have done much safely. Saw a few ambulances racing off on blue and twos... The place was just heaving. but it was nice just soaking up the atmosphere and people watching as I ate my fish and chips.

Got to the 1066 café at 1015,met my mate there.Waited for 15 mins, then we left, straight in to Hastings, parked up,thats got to be the easyist ,ride in,and I have been doing this May-Day for lots of years.Bit windy, but no rain, nice day, loads of bikes/scoots/trikes/sidecars,some body on a Kawasaki zx-10,[ I think] was doing burnouts, smoke everywhere, couple of idiots doing stupid things on the way back.Just let them get on with it.They couldn't pass me on the bends though.

Hope you weren't waiting for me? I did say I was happy to meet you in Hastings as I wanted to be there early...
