Just checking the exhaust system on my z1burger, I did the standard check of blocking the rear hole with the engine running but the gasses seemed to be leaking out somewhere. Both joints seemed good so I dismantled the end cap, aint it a curious system, nuts n bolts holding plastic and metal caps, pipe in a pipe, it seems so over-engineered to me and must be misleading to many (me included) making them think the exhaust syslem is faulty. Still, it must be done for a reason I suppose

Yeah - those dummy nuts confused the hell out of me for a while.

It does seem crazy. They were clearly going for a particular look but maybe they wanted to make the hot bits harder to contact.
