Hi All,
Not been on here for a long time, but thinking of getting another scoot,
It will be used for just a bit of fun, a toy if you like.
Thinking of a Burgman 125 as I've seen they are doing 0%.
What sort of top speed should I expect, was hoping for it to be able to maintain 70mph or is that too much to expect.
Or would I be better getting an older larger cc machine.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Thinking about?
Hi Victor is right I do have a 125. Its a 07 plate. I think looking for cruising speed of 70mph is a bit ambitious. Unless your a very light person I think around 60 is more realistic.
As a Bike I actually like it a lot for its lightness and nimbleness in traffic. I do miss the grunt of the bigger models occasionally but its something you get used too after a while. Depending on what you want to do and the conditions you ride in - oh and of course if you have the license I would go for the 200 or 250 model. I have experience of the 250 and that will indeed hit and hold 70mph. (I wouldn't expect the 200 to be much different).
However the 400 opens up a whole new world if you care to go upwards. On balance I think its the most user friendly Burgman. My Son has the latest model and it is well appointed fast as my 650 when single handed. We have toured Germany with it and the machine performs very well.
Anything else just ask.

Re: Thinking about?
Thanks for the replies.
It only to be used for a fun machine. I've had a Sinnis 125 before and enjoyed that for popping around on. Before that a GP800 which was a hoot.
Just after something cheap for some fun, without costing to much cash.

Good to hear that you are thinking of coming back Mike, I knew all those fast cars was just a fad.
My 2 penny worth is a Piaggio Beverly 350ST, I had one, it's very good.
