I recently passed my motorbike test and have bought a nice Yamaha XJ6.
I don't drive and don't want to use the XJ for commuting so have been looking at a Deauville NT650 or a Burgman 400.
The Burgman I've seen for sale is a 2000 model with 30k on the clock, being sold for £850.
Are they reliable? I've owned a Honda S-Wing before and loved the storage on that for shopping etc, I don't drive so storage is especially important.
Any advice would be great!

Nothing beats the B400 on storage
The pre 2007 bikes can lose a bit of oil at sustained high speeds and the '07 is a slightly better bike imho, but no major worries

WE ARE THE BURG resistance is futile

Thanks, it sounds pretty good. I'm now also tempted by a 2001 Honda Silverwing

I once owned a S/wing. I found it extremely thirsty (45mpg tops)primalcarl wrote:Thanks, it sounds pretty good. I'm now also tempted by a 2001 Honda Silverwing
I've now had 2 burgers, the latest bought new last year, IMO the burger does all the S/wing does and is a better bike....with much better economy.

Cheers for the info. The only local Silverwing going has now sold anyway, so it's back to the Burgman which is fine as cheaper and like you say more economical

Well I now own a Burgman 400. Would like to put a topbox on it for extra storage, but it seems finding the right bracket isn't that straightforward!
