Battery AN400 K9

Post by Walklikegump »

Hi all.

I recently bought a Burgman ( coming from a SYM Joyride ) and haven't used it yet . The Battery took two weeks to go from working to dead and when fully charged it doesnt reach 12v . So the expenses start :( .
Thing is the battery I took out is a YTZ14S and looking at replacements , they are suggesting YTX9-BS . Does anyone with a K9 AN400 know which I should be getting? Or knows if I can use either?

Cheers

If the dimensions are the same, and the terminals in the same place... I would go for a little more cranking amps (aH) for the sake of a little more weight...

Dimensions seem pretty similar. I think previous user must have had that idea and upped it. Is it likely to cause any damage though?

After all that. Turns out the battery was fine. I must have been turning the key 1mm to far left and putting the parking lights on.
