Only reason I buy anything other than oem tyres is a-different make on bike I buy.b-an emergency and I can’t get oem tyre.
If it ain’t broke why fix it,very true so why piss around to save a view quid or supposedly get mega mileage etc. On here say, beats me lol.

I found the OEM tyres were ok - not overly grippy or slippy, they just worked. Never been overly happy with the feel of Bridgestones or the wear rate as I tend to chew through a set by 4,000 miles on all the bikes I have had them on so I always look at alternatives that a harder wearing and will last longer.(well except the Z750. Its BT17's barely lasted 2000!). I need a tyre that will last all year rather than half of it - it is the reason I have Avon's on the Burg at present. The OEM ones died far earlier than expected and needed the bike so got whatever would fit put on.
