Burgman 650 2015 top-box and mount

Post by Adyhbris »

Hi.
I’m looking to add a top box and rack to my Burgman. I’ve had Givi in the past and was pleased with the build quality but wondered if there are any cheaper alternatives I could search for instead?

The box will also be used as a back rest for the pillion so it has to be good quality and safe.

Thanks for any advice.
Ady

I would stick with the Givi kit.

I have tried a few different makes of top boxes/panniers side rails and carriers to date for standard machines you can not beat Givi kit. If you want to go around the world on a big bike that costs above 15grand several to pick from, then specialist kit is available at silly money..
Just my 2p's worth. Ow! and the Givi kit mostly fits correctly.

I have an older Givi box 45 litre in good condition for £30 if you fancy a cheap one

I used it on a bike with the correct base plate on but sold Bike with it on.My mate and I both have 650 Burgman with the Suzuki baseplate on,but we have different Givi boxes one a Monokey one a Monolock. The Suzuki base plate can be bought either fitment. In my opinion the Suzuki baseplate is better looking BUT you can’t fit the Givi side cases with one you need the Givi item. Will send you a photo if you are still interested.Minnd you I guess the Givi plate can be bought for either fitment

No problem at all to buy the plate mate thanks. Where in the country are you? Anywhere near Bristol? If not would you be able to post it?
