afternoon all,
would a carb for a k1/k2 work in a x/y model? they look exactly the same to my untrained eye .....

I'm pretty sure was only cosmetic styling changes between the carbed 400's should fit okay .

I would take a look at the Fowlers Parts Sites / Listings - may give a clue with Part Numbers etc...

I would also check part numbers bud. Other than the body pay particular attention to jet sizes, they almost invariably change over time due to emission regulations

tar for the input.... my current carb is 15f1 nhl (not sure on the last 3 letters) a possible replacement is 15f7

Plus engine displacement increased with age :lol: went up a bit from ( i think it was ) 385cc to 400cc..if my aged grey cell remembers correctly.

They injected the 385 in 2003 although was cross over with old stock .Then it went injected twin cam 399 2006 onwards

well the carb from the K1 works a treat on my w reg and no more leaking inlet pipe!
