Thanks watched the deaf American surfer dude take cams out this morning and watched his check video few years ago .I've never done a reshim only check and adjust on the older ones .

Julian, I'm sure you won't have any issues with doing a re-shim yourself. Just take a look in a Haynes manual as well as watch MickBergsma's video again. It's really very very easy and will make sure you don't get any issues.

I'll give it a go .Once got access to check gaps no much more to do re shim .

I was just on the point of ordering a new 400 next week but this has really made me think again. Anyone else had any"nasties" with the new model.

Early days for me 865 miles! But hope not any to come, last Suzuki i had was a super six!

I had a 2010 burgman from new and apart from me losing the will to live during the first few hundred miles it did just short of 20000 miles in 4 years without any problem.

There's enough of the new B400's out there to know they are ok. If any others had been behaving like the OP's bike we'd know about it. So far, no issues with them. Just some owners miss the 'fat arse' of the older model... :lol:

2000 trouble free miles on mine but happy to sell for sensible offer as after xadv....
