Re: MCN Show, Excel 2014 scooter roundup
One must make informed choices. I personally have come across no SYM distribution and parts problems and have never had a problem with MotoGB. World wide SYM have done very well with the 400 try to find a negative review or report of problems. Looking forward to getting my 600 next week. It's horses for courses I personally have no faith in Italian bikes (or cars for that matter).
Maximum respect

I thought show was disappointing. Too many people crowded into a small space. Went to NEC in 2012 and that was cool.

If red was a uk option it would drop black to three and grey to four.Globs wrote:You missed out the red Forza there gn2, I saw a picture of one in the US - looked very nice indeed!

I do like the white colour option gn2. I can't understand why some colours such as the red Forza don't make it to the uk.
I am sorely tempted by the Joymax 300i, but will wait. I will take out the Forza and J300 for test rides sometime soon, assuming that my local shops still have them available to test.
I'm not keen myself on anything bikewise that is Italian and never have been. I couldn't bring myself to change now.

Italian is ok so long as its just for a hobby and not serious transport.

From the quality of finish viewpoint this is the order I'd put the makes in:
Piaggio
BMW
Honda
SYM
Suzuki
Kymco/Kawasaki
Yamaha
Most scooters are made in europe, taiwan or china IIRC, the badge is not a guarantee of either quality or location!
Check out the 2014 Tmax plastics quality and finish, then go look at a Piaggio X10 and weep...
