RTA

Post by Funkycowie »

Tmax is a a bit of a mess on the left side, she ain't pretty any more, incident happened on a roundabout. TP was taking the first exit from the left lane (left only) to the left lane and I was taking the first exit from the center lane to the right lane on exit. TP with out warning cut across the front of me because they decided they wanted the next exit and I hit their trailer side on. I was riding with a car distance between me and them just in case of any shenanigans should have left more of a gap to account for the trailer

No witnesses stuck around, but helped me up and out the road, no camera because I forgot it. But the TP did say they will pay for the damages unless I want to go through insurance, as good as admitting fault but with no witnesses.......

Back really sore, knee swollen, ankle sore, right wrist sore.

sorry to hear the news funky, hope you heal soon, you really could do with the third party confirming that they will pay damages. people have a habit of changing their minds.

Large vehicles and roundabouts seems to be a recurring problem for you.
Can you do a Google street view link to where you approached the roundabout?
And its RTC these days..... ;)

sorry to hear lad, chin up 8-) make sure you are ok, tomoz you gonna be sore, make sure you have initial contact with the TP as soon as possible, have a good think, try to access costs (i know its hard but settling means you could get the costs wrong) you need to sort the details as soon as, or inform police and claim.. but just chill at the mo... :D
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

I am going through insurance as the claim could quite easily hit near £1000, I have three fucked panels, scrapes up the rest, bent centre stand, damage to the chain oil bath, left brake and bar end, no idea if anything is bent and I am now aching pretty much everywhere... police aren't interested because an ambulance was not involved and the road was not blocked.

Google top down view does not show the road markings. I am extra cautious on roundabouts because of the previous incident just did not factor in the trailer in my caution.

i think you are doing the right thing with insurance :D dont admit any liability with regards to trailer, just stick to the plain facts :D
