well your best bet for now is to investigate and get the tranny off to see whats happeningXP500FUN wrote:Hi well I`m still undecided, but I wonder if say 18g dr pulleys might be right for me, I want to try to end up with less lag setting off and better throttle response. But be able to cruise nicely at low revs as well.
How it was before, was great. I`ll be going in, in october as I don`t think its doing any harm now except some MPG,s less than before if you go steady.
Many Thanks Mark.

Theres a lot of ifs and buts but i have been following this post.
What you need to do is get the variator tool as you are.You have it on order .Be patient. Pull it apart and then make the decision. We are then in a better position to give you Advise. Good advise!

Just been back through all the posts here .Establish the basics first as it seems to me that you are unsure as to how your scoot should opperate? Or i meant to say what your expectations are? Whatever the decision if i were you i would ride another max to determine that.

Well the XP was fine before the local bike shop got their hands on it.
Decided that I will probably get the 18 gram Dr Pulleys and the sliders, anywhere do them in the UK at all please ?
So hopefully a bit of zip and low rev pottering as well.
Best Mark.
