we are having the same conversation on bike chat forums and I'm sure someone has pointed out the fact they are now the other way again this is what they have found

a trike is on a bike licence again now (guessing new licences rather then old) as the class has changed on v5s

piaggio and Peugeot are the only manufacturers that have produced a three wheeled scooter for car licence owners

and the front wheels have to be 18inches apart to be classed as a trike

not saying this is gospel but that's the points they have thrown up :|

had a go on one a tricity to day a 125 n it had l plates on it so im assuming you can ride it with a cbc, only went around the yard but next week I will take my licence with me and have a proper test ride felt a tad funny around the yard how long will it take to adjust to it on the road
the salesman said it will do 70 for a 125 that's really good if true

The important part of that is the word "salesman"
I bet i won't except down a steep hill. More like 60-ish in real terms.
After all it's only 11hp.

Wouldn't let the top speed put me off though :)
My guess is it's a nice well thought out machine.

Scooter Station has its top speed as 100km/h or just under 60mph. On the speedo it might read 70mph, but that would be well over-reading.

BTW, the rest of Europe gets ABS option for an extra 500 euros, so if you're buying new wait until January and you should be able to specify it too.

The best i have had from my tricity is 66mph,between Levens and Meaphop on the A590,Cumbria.If you need to travel at 70mph on 3 wheels, wait till the new Tricity 155cc is on sale or buy a MP3,lot more money though.
