Riders Digest / TMax test

Post by MrGrumpy »

Dunno if anyone here used to read the Riders Digest magazine, which disappeared a while back? If so, you may be pleased to know that it has been reborn - in digital form only - on http://www.theridersdigest.co.uk.
Of principal interest in the current issue is that it contains a test of the mk4 Tmax by Paul Blezard who is at least a maxi-scoot enthusiast and owner.

It used to be a good read TBH as a freebie paid for by advertising, and apparently did "OK" on that basis. sadly just OK wasn't enough for some and they tried to swim with the sharks as an independent magazine with a cover charge.

Inevitably it failed! :(

I will check it out online though. Cheers.

I saw the headline, but you said my bit first! I popped in my local dealers to get a freebie every month or so, but never bought one.
I wake up every morning with a smile upon my face,
My natural exuberance spills out all over the place!

Were these the little A4-folded mags that bike shops used to have free on the counter-tops?

They were pretty good, and i remember a sports-biker trying out commuting on a scooter article.

Yes, they were small B4 glossy things, which were free, and there were paid for extra versions, and then all paid for. I don't remember that article, but it sounds slightly interesting!

Downloaded to my iPad as PDF; looks pretty interesting on a quick flick-thru, but i'll have to set aside some time to read.

Call me old fashioned, but it was much easier to read the paper version!!! Though I guess it might be better with something like an iPad
