Re: Honda PCX150i
i hope they keep widening the engine range until eventually PCX becomes honda's burgman series. I like the futuristic shape a lot. There's a lot of potential in that shape.

Hmm,I like that shape, stick a nice 350/400cc engine in something like that & I might go for it.

Like a Faze 250 you mean?
They've been around for a couple of years in Japan.
We'll probably never see it or the PCX150 in the UK.

Yep thats nice,I like hondas, call me narrow minded,I wont sell my sh300,but often think about something a tad bigger,& with more top end performance for fast cruising.gn2 wrote:Like a Faze 250 you mean?

Re: Honda PCX150i
Not forgetting the 500ABS, 180cc and 200cc versions too that never made it here either. A lot of these models we don't see because either they are tax- or licence-break specials for various markets, or because the volumes sold here are too small.Meldrew wrote:It's already been done, Piaggio used 125cc, 250cc, and 500cc engines in the X9.
Shame, but there it is.

Re: Honda PCX150i
I think 150cc is destined for Italy as that's their criteria for Autostrada minimum cc, not sure about other European countries. And as we all know their scooter sales volumes are something like 10 times UK volume IIRC.

Re: Honda PCX150i
Seems lots of states in the USA need a bike to be at least 150cc to be legally ridden on Highways.
Ive already got the PCX125, so wouldnt be much use upgrading to the 150cc for me, as I cant see an extra 25cc to make much of a difference, thats if it does arrive in Australia anyway.
I did read somewhere that they might use the PCX planform as the base of a bigger engined scooter in the future. I suppose what they mean by that, is design it, and make it in Thailand (cheaper to make and a reduced retail price), keep it simpler (rear drum brake, ect) and have a main selling point as it being very economical (like the current PCX125 is) Would be nice to get a PCX300 or PCX400 (now I'm dreaming)
The Faze 250 never made it here to Australia either. Honda Australia have the new Dio 110, PCX125, SH150, SH300 and the new Integra scooter/motorbike and a couple small commuter scooters . http://motorcycles.honda.com.au/Urban_Scooter
