Well Saturday I did a little 1155 mile trip supporting my mate through her first Saddle Sore 1000. A bit slow at 23 and a bit hours but we did manage to avoid getting wet. The 650 Burg handled it well for a small bike, only real moan would be the small tank - not used to a max of 150 including most of the reserve and one leg of the trip left 0.8 of litre in the tank which makes me very nervous ! All my previous bikes have had a range of 150 miles before entering a 39-40 mile reserve. Still it was very comfy and worth the slog on the boring motorway and A roads to blast along the A387 in Wales.

!00 mile ride on the T80 Townmate with about 30 other Cubs around the New Forest National Park, as far as I know no punctures or breakdowns to anyone, enjoyed the ride but the ponies now have new friends, donkeys, cows, pigs all free roaming, and with Bluetooth.

Replaced the copper washer on the engine oil bleed bolt which had been seeping since the last oil change. Waxoyled the radiator fan which was going quietly rusty underneath its plastic..

Unpacked it after the spending 4 days away at Silverstone. Next it is time to see if the rear wheel securing nut will happily come off or if it will require convincing as the tyre is shot. Then it's start on an oil change/4000 mile service as that icon has been flashing the last 500 miles and it currently is not raining and I hate servicing bikes while getting wet.

Painted the exhaust with Halfrauds rapidly disappearing low temperature black, and tightened bleed bolt at same time. I'm not sure if the oil underneath is from the bleed bolt or from my liberal application of Waxoyl.
Well either way it's not going to rust..

Cleaned the silverwing (I think the first time since owning it).
Really struggled to get the dead French bugs off the windshield (some splatter marks still remain)
So now it's threatening to rain

Fitted new front pads to "Mr T" and bled new fluid through front and rear lines. Even managed not to spill any fluid on the paintwork (I hope). A nice quick and easy job on the TMax.

Fitted new front pads to the Shadow. Even easier than the TMax.
