Washed off the "fur" on the exposed nuts and bolts and ACF 50'd all the usual parts which are slowly corroding in the UK Winter on the TMax and the Shadow, oiled all the pivot points and levers, Topped up the oil on the Shadow and checked tyre pressures etc. :|

Took the maxsym out for one last blast before it goes, trading it in for an enfield Himalayan. The sym has been totally reliable, 28k trouble free miles, but iv,e got the tmax so it had to go.

Will be very interested in what you think of the Himalayan. Recently got back from Goa where I hired a bullet, no Himalayans for rent.

I took the demo bike out from P&D Wakefield, only did 40 mile but enjoyed the ride so did the deal. I watched a maxsym 400 on ebay I it had less miles than mine and was a year younger it went for around £1600 so when dealer offered me £1550 for mine thought that's ok

Rode to work which enjoying the early morning sunshine and crisp -1’c to 1’c temps. Not so enjoyable were the odd patches of damp salt which the Avon tyres took exception too
