When I was a kid, I went down Zig Zag Hill in an old Albion truck full of breeze blocks. Smashing stretch of road.

Thank you!

I live in hopes - a new barrel is not expensive so I'll get one if all else fails.

The Follow-Up:

Nipped in to Salisbury at lunchtime today in order to see if anyone could cut keys to fit the Givi box.
Timpsons is our main key-cutting imporium - they also take in dry-cleaning, fit watch batteries, mend shoes and take passport photos - so they were my first port of call.
To my surprise and relief, suitable blanks were hanging on the wall so I now have two spares.

In addition, when I collected the 'new' Jimny this morning, I found it had only one key for the very-expensive lockable spare-wheel cover.
I suppose that sort of thing is par for the course these days - I had to demand a second ignition key when I bought the red Jimny.

I also took the key to Timpsons and now have a spare for the cover.

I'm going to keep the originals as spares, just in case I need to have more cut.

Incidentally, I had a call from the Farm Shop this morning; they'd had a good look round but hadn't found the key. I expressed my gratitude for their efforts and kindness and will pay them a further visit before too long.

Cracking weather this week, so have been riding the Silverwing on the commute - 35 miles each way, mostly motorways with a bit of filtering at each end. :)
Had to stop one evening and take the inner layer out of my jacket and zip the neck muff off! Too hot!!
And I even went into the loft to get my open face helmet down!

Enjoy the weather and ride safe folks 8-)

Meldrew - You’ve struck it lucky with the weather - and 70 mpg on a silverwing is a definite bonus - enjoy the remainder of the trip
