Re: What to buy?
Hi Miseryguts, there's some great bikes around for about 2k. Don't be concerned about burgman clutches. The judder that can can sometimes develop is easy to cure and can be diy'ed by most people. Its not usual to have to replace a clutch until many 10's of thousands of miles. I am 6'2" and fit the burgman 400 perfectly. I find the standard screen fine but they are a personal thing and some don't like it. Cannot comment on the Maj I'm afraid. Good luck.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Re: What to buy?
I aggree with Data; clutches are not an issue any large scoot will wear them out as they take a lot punishment. A burgman or majesty is a good chioce it all comes down to personal
preferance .
Both are great touring machines.
If you are doing around town only then you should consider 250,s?
Lighter more agile

Re: What to buy?
Sorry like people are saying it is what you prefer as burgies are a good scooter. Always a Honda Forza to think of if any around for sale.

Re: What to buy?
Can I just throw in another plea not to discount SYM? I've covered over 12,000 miles on mine and it's averaging over 80 mpg. About 75% of my riding is at 50 to 70 mph. I commute 34 miles daily weekdays. Oh and I'm 6ft 2!Miseryguts wrote:Thanks Halfabusa
Most of my riding will be A roads with a 260 mile trip to our Caravan in Scotland 2 or 3 times a year
Anyone have a view as to which is the better suited to long distance/ motorway type riding.
Can you fit a top box to both scoots.
Are the stock screens ok or is the advise to get a taller one.

That's me sorted then, unless something else catches my eye.
