After GNs favourable comments about this model in other posts I thought I'd start a new topic.
I had never heard of this brand/model so I searched for more info. It definitely looks the job and I was very tempted last week to buy it but the brand, dealer and warranty were questionable although technically there is a small dealer in my area that holds no Sym or Daelim stock but obviously registered with the parent company Motogb. I sent an email 3 days ago to @daelim.co.uk (Motogb) asking a few questions about the dealer, warranty and parts availability but alas not a squeek out of them as yet.
Would be interesting to know what others think?

I think you should just get this used one for £2500 (maybe less with some haggling) and worry about the support aspect later.
But then I would say that, its not my money!

Parts should be available over the interweb?
Negatives:
kph speedo
no ABS
underseat storage not as good as the competition
300cc version available elsewhere
But for a 2014 250cc maxiscooter with negligible use, £2500 is a total bargain imo.

Thats the one I searched for that you mentioned. I have spoken to the seller (private dealer) last week and we agreed an even better price. I'm always after a bargain and want it even cheaper.

There's also this one: http://www.2commute.co.uk/2012/12/18/ro ... 3-advance/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Which looks suspiciously like this one: http://www.twistngo.com/news/scooter-re ... s3-advance" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
A plus point is the fuel filler location, if you use a tunnel bag you won't have to remove it to fill up and you won't have to bend over either.

I don't understand a word of this, but looks like it can shift for a 250: " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

They are quite interesting - I did consider one, though I've read that they aren't quite up to the standard of Sym or Kymco. Since I considered one, a local (quite good) dealer has taken on the franchise.

I watched one french video and they showed petrol blow back causing spillage all over the draw and possibly the seat and if you had a tunnel bag, all over it. They may have exaggerated the process but someone will do it.

You can probably do the same with any scooter.
Hold the nozzle full on and its inevitably going to piss petrol everywhere.
Use your brain and it will never happen.

Re: Daelem 250 S3 Advance
Looks ok we need to remember as with have seen with Kia etc Korean and Taiwanese manufacturers are the new Japaneses. Many of us on here are old enough to remember when Japaneses bikes were considered a joke. Do you remember how bikers would laugh at those early Honda's. Then The japanese started bringing over small cars and people fell about laughing. Move on and how things have changed (where is the UK bike and car industry). The other thing to remember that these bikes come from cultures that are dependent on cheap reliable transport and where road conditions can be tough. So yes one to consider.

It looks like the same old thing with MotoGB I'm afraid. You contact them another can't be bothered to reply. I know Steve from Sym is making an effort, but as for the rest....?????
I enquired after an English made brass bell for my bicycle which I've just ordered. I didn't know what size would fit my bike. I had a reply back within 24 hours. Not only did this company bother to reply, but they went out of their way to find out which size mount would fit. All this for an £18 brass bell. Of course I've now ordered from this company.
So from one end of the spectrum Motogb for an item which cost 3k plus - no reply. To the other end of the spectrum an £18 item - prompt and helpful response.

There always seems to be 5 pence worth of petrol left in the nozzle as well. So a careful, angled approach has to be made before you even press the trigger
