The reader's favourite is no surprise but their own choice certainly is. I mean "best looking", I have no doubt. But best overall, I'm not so sure.

yes the readers is a great choice, but their choice .... i think they have to determine what is a maxi scooter, or have they a scooter class called motorway scooter etc... my take is the best all rounder is 300cc taking into account all the variables or pro`s an cons etc a daily rider or go off etc the j125 is a great scoot but overpriced as most are new, but to call it a maxi hmmmm

As far as I know it a "maxi" scooter is defined by it's size/style not it's engine size.

Well they do say that Kawasaki don't say to call the J125 a maxi, but it is pretty big for a 125.

Nice bike, though. Almost the same as the J300 just lesser power.

Cheers ben. It is fast as well as i was behind a downtown 125 last year and it easily kept up to the rest . i suppose in contrast to the new 650 burg price struggling to avetage a descent mpg. The smaller engined maxi is the best route.

Did noy mean owt by it jay x i reckon owt ober the 400cc scoots to be like american muscle cars where the thrill outways there mpg etc

I find anything that ai can not get to 85 for an overtake scary. As long as the mpg is better than the Vstrom I had (race cans + 145mph capable bike + commuting traffic = 24 mpg, on the A roads = 34 mpg) I am relatively happy.

Well, a J125 might be a good scooter, but a J300 is clearly a better one!
