Re: Met Police
Hydrogen scoots? Who makes them? Guess there aren't many hydrogen fuel stations around if they run out! Wouldn't like to have any lighted cigarettes too close.....

Re: Met Police
I've seen the Community Support 'Zero' scooter a couple of time around Catford / Downham...
looks a big-ish scoot - think they are the Hydrogen Experiment Burgers from a few years back...

Re: Met Police
This is not something that I wish to actually put to the test, but seem to remember my physics teacher telling me that liquid petrol only burns relatively slowly - whilst petrol vapor (ie petrol & air mixed) is of course extremely explosive (or at least burns extremely quickly)...hence its use in engines!rjc1944 wrote:Dear Grumpy - don't get your fags too close to your petrol tank...................MrGrumpy wrote:Wouldn't like to have any lighted cigarettes too close.....

Re: Met Police
Whereas hydrogen fuel cell scoots aren't that dangerous, actually. From MCN (yes, I know) back in 2011 - "The fuel cell Burgman's gas tank has withstood bullet-attack, fire and high-speed impacts on its way to gaining EU type-approval. Spilled hydrogen disperses rapidly and is harder to ignite after only a few seconds than petrol."
