I doubt very much that the Sym shall have anywhere near the quality of the Yamaha cheaper initial cost obviously

If only £1000 difference v tmax then its a no brainer..tmax retainned value way better I'd think!

I like it and if the price is right and it actually gets here I would seriously consider getting one .I like the looks as a cross between my srv and the tmax ,I love belt drives .The big thing for me though will be comfort for my Mrs and also does it have enough grunt for us .We will have to wait and see .
