The 125 looks a bargain if it goes that well!

Still not convinced by the X-Town 300 as a replacement for the old Downtown. Less power, more weight and a higher price.

But they have fixed the major flaw of the downtown: Feet forward.StephenC wrote: Still not convinced by the X-Town 300 as a replacement for the old Downtown. Less power, more weight and a higher price.
It's now a competitor against the SYM 300, not quite as good I suspect but with a UK distributor so it should be supported.

They both look like contenders but why is there just dull dull dull grey available?

I'm not usually one to be down on new vehicles but they look pretty cheap & nasty. The little cubby hole looks like it'll be the first casualty & the plastics in general look quite flimsy certainly doesn't look as well made as the sym & why only 24bhp?? when all the other 300s on the market are nudging 30.

I thought the power was down in comparison to the competition. Yamaha Xmax 300 has 27.62 but it is £500 dearer.BenR wrote:I'm not usually one to be down on new vehicles but they look pretty cheap & nasty. The J300 and Joymax are 28hp and the Forza 25hp.
The Xmax also has traction and keyless so you have a bit of added value if you like those features.
