would like to know what the average MPG is on the xmax 300, it really is a great looker, looking on the fuelly site the 400 xmax is quite a thirsty scoot.

Nah, nothing wrong with the J300, which is why I'm shifting it now! I've had it 3 years since new and that's my normal moving along time.

I have to admit the very positive coverage swayed me towards the Xmax. I'll be picking it up next Saturday, all being well, although the insurers database does not yet have it listed so I can't insure it just yet.

I had a similar problems when the Satelis 250 came out: insurers insisted it did not exist but said they could insure the Satelis 600 as that was on the list. Err, one small thing I had to point out to them was that there never was a Satelis 600. It was just a mock up proposed to have the Silvering engine ( this was when Peugeot was using Honda engines before switching to Piaggio).

I am getting it from Newcombes in Chelmsford after they matched Metropolis Vauxhall's offer.

Would appear to be the most powerful 300 scooter out there at the moment - at 292 cc you could say it's a full on 300 if you get what I mean - good choice - enjoy it when it arrives
