Given that the 300 is only 4hp down on the 400 as well as lighter and having the new smart key and traction control I can't see the 400 continuing for much longer.

Small Yamahas were built by MBK in France (though TMax comes from Japan). I guess the way of the world is for more & more things to be built in the Far East, given the cheapness of production costs, and of course those countries have massive home markets as well. Its like the small Suzuki Burgmans - used to be made in Spain, now made in Thailand.
