Unimpressive purchase

Post by Scootypuff snr »

OK having read & reread, the add on leg shields seem to be a recommended mod' for the silverwing so Dobles seemed to be the last UK supplier (now with one set in stock) so I bought

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161965937250

I can honestly say it's the must uninspiring expensive piece of plastic I think I've ever purchased

It appears they fit and stay with the plastic pins provided and briefly reading the instructions no panel removal is necessary?

They will now be "consigned to the lock up" till I return from abandoning the scooter at Heathrow next week.

Uninspiring and expensive they may be but they make a world of difference to rider comfort on the Silverwing.

I bought some hand wind deflectors for the new Tmax - £100 for two unimpressive bits of plastic, one of which wasn't put on particularly well by the dealer! However, they do seem to work pretty well, but add to the width of the scoot, which isn't great news in my crowded garage.

I had those on my Silverwing and they seem very effective.

Put it this way, there were a pair fitted when I got it, they were scratched & minor cracks so replaced them with NOS pair from ebay, completely buggered the right hand one of that pair when I had my 'off' earlier this year, so am now on my third pair, are they worth the money ?, I certainly think so :)

Very happy with the Silverwing, mine is fitted with the leg shields and keep boots very clean, my Altberg boots are 19 years old and now don't leak anymore. A miracle.

I was about to agree with you Scootypuff, but after all the other comments I think I'll keep me trap shut!
