Bought some hand deflectors, leg deflectors, rear carrier with ulock and rear spindle cone on ebay for a bargain price otherwise wouldn,t buy them at ridiculous full price. Reflectors gave that extra protection from weather but not if you came off!

What! So they don't "deflect" you from the other vehicle? :D

Our local small bike shop has had a 2002 Tmax in with some home made ones on, that look OK, but its £2300 and has been there at least a year, more I think. 34K on so I don`t think its going anywhere quickly.

But having got a silverwing I`ve realised how much wider the footboards are on the MK1 tmax, the max stops a lot more wind on the legs as standard.

I`d say having looked at a silverwing with deflectors on it will be about the same as the T max with them fitted. At least near the feet.

On the Mk1 footboards feet down or up my boots have a good 1cm of plastic left at the side, on the silverwing they overhang by at least that.

So need to buy some but at over £100 + its feeling quite hard to manage as would like better rear shockers first.

Best Mark.

Presumably by 'better' you mean non OEM ? If so then good luck getting them setup, getting a C spanner up inside the bodywork will teach you a whole new level of 'interesting' words & then a few more evening them up from side to side ;)

I find they just let the road bumps through a little too much for my liking.

You can get the odd really oh gawd ouch moment with them.

I`d like something with damping adjustment as well as preload.

Been looking at 2 YSS types look OK. I think one has damping preload.

Probably be spring now.

The silverwing has just got a puncture and needs a rear tyre anyway, so working up to taking out the back wheel. Not looking forward to that !!!!

Best Mark.

PS I only ride with my feet up, seems to me, speaking for myself, once you go that way, theres no going back.
