Sorry, but it's the same size as the 300. Guess which set of figures is which!
It has a longer wheel base which I would think would give longer reach for your legs and a higher seat position.

But of course, I could be wrong!

The extra wheelbase probably is a straightforward result of the smaller diameter rear wheel. But you could be right!

Longer wheelbase 'cos the engine unit is different / Wheel size by an inch or off set of front axle at or in front / behind of the fork - plastics etc could all be the same...

IIRC, wheelbase is measured between the centres of the axles ?

I agree with MrGrumpy; and it's true that Euro 4 has resulted in some power reduction on the new Piaggio Beverly (BV350).

StephenC has pointed out that the Bev has the same rear tyre size as the Xmax 300... On the Bev that means the rolling diameter is nearly identical front and back.

Xmax 400 looks stunning in blue but that exhaust would have to go...probably weighs 8k easily....

Has anyone bought or ordered one?

Just weighed mine- 11kgs/24.2lbs, Leo Vince can I put on my 2015 model (£249) 7kg/15.4Lbs, as in pics here-
http://www.maxi-muppets.co.uk/forum/vie ... 32#p241832.

EDIT: So if I do get a new one and put my Leo can on, the difference between 300 and 400 would be 9 kg, still think extra cc's of 400 would make it quicker. Sat on new one today and feels a little bit lighter than mine on back to back weight test. Now it appears the light silver one -blazing gray - is a satin/matt finish, so may have to think about this.
