Xmax 300 or Forza 300

Post by Generalpurpose »

evening all. I need another scooter after mine got written off and for its down to either:

a new or demo Xmax 300 or a used Forza 300 which will be aprox. 1000 pounds cheaper (I could invest in my T5 Bus)

obviously the xmax would be manufacturers warranty vs the forza may be already out.

usage would be my daily commute which is 20 miles one way including 12 miles on motorway. annual mileage 6k.

which one should I got for?

The Forza has less power and no traction control but does have stop-start and is probably more economical. The Xmax has a high seat so if you have short-ish legs you may be on tiptoes at the lights.

But both are very good and so I would say go with your heart on this one as neither is likely to be a bad buy.

The Xmax is a bigger beefier more powerful scoot I think. The Forza always strikes me as tiny! Xmax probably has better weather protection which would be important on a m-ways, though I guess Honda have a higher screen available.

You're not really comparing the scooters, more the cost. One will be new & circa £4,500, one will be used and probably nearer £3,000. If your bus needs a £1500 cash injection go with another Forza - after all you know what they are like, plus you'll have the advantage of being able to service it yourself or at an independent as the warranty will be done.

decision made. my local Honda dealer just got in a nice low mileage Forza 300 and made me a deal I could not say No.
Pete you are absolutely right I know the forza inside out and it was considerable cheaper than switching to an x max.
so next week I will be back on a very familiar wheels just in Black now....

It's a machine you talk fondly of so think you've made a good choice.
