I always insure my bikes to be left on the drive overnight, even though they're stored in a locked and pretty secure shed (with CCTV). I don't want to forget to put it away at night to find it gone in the morning and not to be covered. It's about £20 more than to stipulate it being garaged, and I've never found a difference between motorbike and scooter (I've had 4 scoots and 2 motorbikes).

If I remember correctly, the new Tmax and Car are stated to be kept in the garage, but if they are nicked whilst not in the garage 22:00 - 06:00 they are still covered - but the excess rises to something silly!
