Hello all,
I’ve seen a Suzuki AN250 X for sale near me, 2000 plate, £895. Anyone know much about these? Google isn’t giving me any joy, from the photos, it’s got Burgman on the side? I have been looking out for Burgman 400 but thinking this could get me on the road in the meantime.
Thanks
Matt

Re: Suzuki AN250 X
Don't know about the Burgman 250 .
But i was very impressed with the performance of my Daelim 250 it will sit at 70 and will accelerate up to 85 . i do miss the exact power going up hills but most of the time it does the job for me .

Re: Suzuki AN250 X
It was the very early incarnation of the Burgman, the early Burger 400s were almost identical, except for the engine obviously! Totally different from later UH Burgman 200 models. I think the earliest 400 Burgers were a bit under-engineered (well, they were the first big scooters!), but with less power the 250 might have been OK. They disappeared very quickly after the 400 came out, as the 400 did everything better. Probably only 18bhp or thereabouts (75 or so top speed (prob more on speedo).

Thanks all. I might just hold out for a 400, hopefully one fairly local will turn up.

Re: Suzuki AN250 X
I've just seen some specs that quote the power as a rather more cheerful 23bhp, which should at least get you to 80! (400 will do a genuine 90)

Re: Suzuki AN250 X
Personally I wouldn't pay that much for an 18 year old scooter. unless it is in very good condition and has service history & MOT certificates . Mileage can be tricky as if it has less than 20,000 miles that's means it could of been left sitting around for long periods, which ain't good or if it has been used for lots of short distance trips that wouldn't be good either.

Way too dear. Keep looking, you'll find 400s of that age for less money than that.
