Ere yer go ....
or if that's too bright try looking for Ford Maize Yellow which is slightly 'warmer' due to being a little more towards orange

Re: JCB yellow
I thought the JCB was hinting towards an orangey tint.

Re: JCB yellow
I must admit that Ford do occasionally have a couple of brighter colours for their cars. There are a couple of sporty Focus' on my estate in a vivid orangey yellow, apparently named by Mr Ford as 'Tangerine Scream' !The Bern wrote:JCB yellow is VERY close to Ford Canary Yellow, if you're old enough think about Mk1 Escort

Eeeeh mk1 escort
I had a rally prepped orange one with a black bonnet. Lovely gear box but no sound proofing so deafening inside
Remember the yellow ones well, and the Maxis/Allegros in that very special “H-block beigeâ€, my dads Mk 2 Cortina GT was also HBB but ford called it “Saluki Bronzeâ€
I got a thick ear for nicking his touch up cans an respecting my bike

My first car was an Allegro 1750 Sport. In tank green - or at least it looked like the sort of green a tank should be.

Re: JCB yellow
As a child I recall my Uncle Gordon's bright blue Mk4 Zephyr.
My memories of that car are only two:-
- the beautiful blue colour to my child eyes and,
- a linear red line for a speedometer, shooting from left to right.
You older bunch might be able to tell me if that memory of the speedometer goes with the correct car!

Re: JCB yellow
Not from my memory, having had a mk111 (brilliant car not such a good engine) & a mk4 (great engine crap car). from my (admittedly buggered by alcohol/old age) the linear speedo was a British Leyland innovation from (I think ) the Rover SD1 era.Capt. R Swipe wrote:

Yes, that's it. I only recall it unlit in daylight.
So, not the Zephyr then.

Re: JCB yellow
Nah, mk 3 had rctangular speedo with a needle, mk4 was twin circular dials (speed & rev's) don't recall any Ford's that used the linear tape
