Would have been an early Vauxhall Cresta, the one before the big Flat/square-ish shape..60's. I had a MK2 Zephyr 6 convertible with the Red Jackall
hydrolic roof mechanism, then bought a MK3 Ex British Embassy car from Switzerland ( well not from swizerland but from the Embassy guy ) now that had a few mods that never came from Ford one of witch was a V8 engine and floor change gearbox with overdrive on top only. Went like Sh1t of a chrome shovel but could empty the fuel tanks ( yes 2 of ) in very short order. Weight was close on 2 tons...with what we now know to be bullet proof glass and armored doors, two batteries in the boot. Also a long steel box with lock hasp, no rifle thou  Guess the colour! :D

I did a bit of digging and my memory is a bit fuzzy and mixing things up a bit: the blue car was my father's Singer Vogue and dear uncle did drive a Zephyr. 1971 this was.

Singer Vogue, early models had a round speedo, later (Hunter shape) had rectangular with a needle.

Hi bud, I had a Relinat Supervan Mk3 (typo in the log book), a mate had a Bond Bug for a while, was the most horribly uncomfortable thing I've had the misfortune to sit in

I had an Isetta Bubblecar, very comfortable but could have done with a set of wheels on the roof. My gran couldn't get into a car but she could back into the Isetta relatively easily. So I had to take to the hospital, shops etc.

Meldrew wrote:popcorn.gif I'm eagerly awaiting someone to out themselves as a former owner of a Bond Bug. Those weird looking two seater 3 wheelers from the 1970’s you could drive on a full motorcycle licence. They were bright orange and looked like a large wheeled wedge of Red Leicester cheese.
I was slightly too young for one of those. Looked fab, but were utter rubbish. Of course, they are sought after these days by strange people....
