Nearly 8000kms on my Xmax 300 now, no issues at all. I'm changing the oil twice a year, Spring time and then Autumn time with the oil filter once a year, dead easy to do. I'm doing my own servicing as the dealers out here can't be trusted at all.

1 Year and 8,000 miles on, it's had 1 front disc replaced by Yamaha without a problem, but the one fitted
may, and I am not sure about this be starting to warp, and I am not hard on brakes, the brakes otherwise are
very good. mine seems to be the only one in captivity that uses a touch of oil, we are talking about a third
of the glass after 1700 miles though it seems to be getting less maybe I did not run it in hard enough.
It has averaged over 100 MPG over the last year the rear tyre is getting done maybe 2000 miles left in it,
front looks good for at least another 4000, It handles better than any scooter I have ridden and better than
many a bike, faster you ride better it gets, tyres will be replaced with the same City Grips it came with
a first for me.
Next service is the 12000 mile one slated for a belt and valves though I doubt the valves will need doing,
that's in 4000 miles nothing else comes to mind.
I am happy with it and cant think of anything I want to swap it for, I tend to keep bike at least 3 years so
we will see if I want to change it then but up to now it's a keeper.

I'm guessing that the XMax 300 has been responsible for an uptake in interest for maxi's in general. Great bike, great design and kinda says "this is all the bike you'll ever need". There's hardly a bike forum where folks aren't swithering about buying a scoot.

Well done Yamaha.

Nice write up Ralph and glad to hear you are enjoying the bike.
Coming up to my first year soon but only have about 1300 miles on it so far, its just hard to find the time to get out on a regular basis.I do enjoy it though when i do get out.

Happy with mine....it was a Godsend over Nov/Dec when my wife was in hospital half an hour away; quick enough for high-speed roads and excellent for clogged city; averages around 95mpg in that kind of use; much needed weather protection and room under seat for all kinds of stuff.
Have had the front disc issue, and my bony butt would wish for a softer ride quality at times; but overall I'll never regret the day I discovered these auto scooters - the most practical 2-wheeler there is.
Oh and Ralph - mine uses a smidgeon of oil too!

I'm on nearly 14k miles. The 12k service was £400 at a main dealer - just so you're warned!

Happy with it apart from the main beam.
