Trading in a 1000cc Suzuki Vstrom for a 300cc scooter, I must be mad

Presumably nothing wrong with a 1000cc Vstrom however the 300cc scooter will be more than capable of most journeys in relative comfort and be considerably more frugal on fuel - I don’t think your mad - give us a report on the Yamaha once it’s run in - enjoy my friend

The sales guy also opened up the seat using the emergency key, very impressed with all the storage space!
I have owned 3 x Burgman 400s, 3 x Burgman 650s, Honda Silverwing and a BMW C600 in the past.
But none of them have had as much space under the seat!

It is...huge. But don't leave frozen food in there for long - it gets pretty warm! Nice for leaving spare gloves in on a cold day, though... :-)

Did,nt think white was a 2018 color, look at the instruments if the temp and fuel segments go in one long
ark it,s a 2017 model if they have a kink midway it,s a 2018 if that matters to you it,s the easy way of telling.

I installed the Givi E39 on my xmax300. A decent sized cool bag fits in nicely, so when buying frozen or chilled food, it all goes in there plus still a good amount of space for a few other items. I can then get a 6 pack of 1.5l mineral water bottles under the seat in the rear section plus a load of other stuff in the front and middle sections. The underseat storage area does get warm because the engine is directly below. It's a great supermarket visiting bike.

Shush don,t tell the wife, but yes they are a great beast of burden, the two pockets on the front stay cool and a good size for chock bars.

Hi Guys Just registered to the forum after following the Xmax 300 section for a while.
I have had a white x max (as i'm not keen on matte colours)since April and have covered about 1100 miles, and thankfully passed the laborious running in process.i have added a few extras like a sports screen, aluminium foot rests, and the smaller tail tidy plus the rear back rest.
I also plan to get heated grips fitted.I would like the black Akrapovic exhaust for it but it is silly money imho.
I sold a very Mint Gilera 180 FXR with only 6000 from new on the clock before buying this and as most will know they were very quick scoots, but this is a much more comfortable ride for me.
I was originally going to get a T Max 530 but after trying it found it was too big for my needs.
A couple of pics.

Check out the Mivv exhaust option. Great sound, good weight saving and reasonable price.
Got the sports screen fitted to my X Max and I find it better than the original.

Agree, the sports screen was the first thing i changed and gives the bike a sportier look.
You can get rear huggers for them now but they are aftermarket so i'm not sure of the quality. Also wish yamaha would do some hand guards for them as i'm not keen on the hand muffs they do.

In my general experience, hand guards don't do as much as you'd expect to keep your hands warm - muffs are much better. And huggers seem to do nothing at all!
